A buyer persona is a fictional representation of your ideal client or target audience. With a clear picture of who you're marketing to, it's much easier to develop effective, targeted content that speaks to your ideal buyer's goals and challenges. These are buyer personas I created for my Buyer Behavior Analysis grad course. The project was to present on how JIFF peanut butter could gain new customers based on data we were given about peanut butter purchasing behavior across different brands.
Marketing segmentation is the process of creating customer groups based on common behavioral and consumption patterns. Demographic, psychographic, behavioral, and geographic similarities can cluster particular customers together. Specifically, these four segments break into subcategories to optimize marketing strategy and marketing messages.
Creating buyer personas are an effective way to help identify those various market segments.
